NWS Honolulu HI
Flash Flood Warning issued June 25 at 7:59PM HST until June 25 at 9:30PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI
At 755 PM HST, radar showed moderate rain covering all of Oahu, with
additonal embedded heavy showers and thunderstorms moving over the
island from the southwest. Heavy rain has been especially excessive
over southeast Oahu, and flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly, especially near Waimanalo. A burst of heavy rain will
impact all of southern Oahu through 900 PM, and will likely cause
significant flooding impacts in urban Honolulu, including the H-1
freeway from Kaimuki to Kunia.
This warning includes the entire island of Oahu.
A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring in
streams, roads, and low lying areas. Move to higher ground now.
Do not cross fast flowing water in your vehicle, or on foot. Turn
around, don't drown.

NWS Miami FL
Heat Advisory issued June 26 at 2:39AM EDT until June 26 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Miami FL
The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Heat Advisory,
which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 7 PM EDT this
evening.
* TEMPERATURE...High temperatures of 95 to 99 degrees with heat
indices 106 to 111.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity will create a
situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
Take extra precautions, if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety
and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest
breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome
by heat stroke should be moved to a cool and shaded location.
Heat stroke is an emergency, call 9 1 1.
A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and
neighbors.

NWS Honolulu HI
Flash Flood Warning issued June 25 at 8:43PM HST until June 25 at 9:30PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI
At 840 PM HST, radar indicated persistent torrential rain and
thunderstorms affecting the area from Makiki to Waipahu, with
rainfall rates near 4 inches per hour affecting a wide swath of
urban Honolulu. Oahu DEM reports H-1 westbound near Liliha is under
at least a foot of water, and that the freeway is becoming
impassable. Additional heavy ponding is causing significant problems
along Nimitz Highway, and in portions of Waikiki as well. Avoid
travel in Honolulu if passable this evening.
This warning includes all of the island of Oahu.
A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring in
streams, roads, and low lying areas. Move to higher ground now.
Do not cross fast flowing water in your vehicle, or on foot. Turn
around, don't drown.
