At 504 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain had occurred
earlier in the morning across the warned area. Up to three inches of
rain could have already fallen. Additional thunderstorms will be
possible yet this morning. Flash flooding could already be occurring
in rural areas of the warned area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Milford, Friend, Dorchester, Beaver Crossing, Goehner, Cordova and
Blue River State Recreation Area.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

northeast of De Witt.
* At 28.0 feet...Agricultural levees may be overtopped. Flooding of
farmland, homes, and secondary roads behind levees is possible.
* At 18.0 feet...Low-lying rural areas outside of levees begin to
flood.

Abundant lightning in conjunction with dry fine fuels in the
grassland across the lower elevations will be prone to fire
starts due to the lightning. The thunderstorms will be wet but
also fast moving. Gusty outflow winds outside of heavier
precipitation cores will allow for rapid fire spread.
The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to midnight
PDT tonight. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

eastern slopes of the Central Cascades...Fire Weather zone 640
