Flood Watch issued June 27 at 10:33PM AKDT until June 30 at 8:00AM AKDT by NWS Juneau AK
The Flood Watch continues for
* Northern Inner Channels...Including the following area...Taiya
River near Skagway.
* From Friday afternoon through Sunday morning
* Near record high temperatures the next several days will cause
additional snow and glacial melt into the Taiya River basin. As
a result, the river will crest higher with each day. It is
possible that by late Friday afternoon that the Taiya River will
go over minor flood stage of 16.5 feet. It will remain very
warm into the weekend so it is also expected that the Taiya
River will go back above minor flood stage again on Saturday
afternoon.
* At minor flood stage portions of the Chilkoot trail begin to
inundate with water. Users in this area should take extra
caution near the river in the next few days and over the
weekend.
A watch means conditions are favorable for the development of
flooding in and close to the watch area.
Persons living along streams should stay alert and be prepared to
take action if a warning or advisory is issued, or flooding is
observed.

Flood Advisory issued June 27 at 8:43PM HST until June 27 at 11:45PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI
The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a
* Flood advisory for...
The island of Kauai in Kauai County
* Until 1145 PM HST.
* At 839 PM HST, radar indicated a large band of heavy rain moving
through the southwestern slopes of Kauai. Rain was falling at a
rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Expect heavy rain showers to
spread across Kauai through the evening hours.
* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
the entire island of Kauai.
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.
Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.
Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.
