NWS Aberdeen SD
Heat Advisory issued June 28 at 3:05AM CDT until June 28 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Aberdeen SD
The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Heat
Advisory, which is in effect from 2 PM CDT /1 PM MDT/ this
afternoon to 8 PM CDT /7 PM MDT/ this evening.
* HEAT INDEX VALUES...Up to 104 due to temperatures in the mid
90s, and dewpoints in the lower 70s.
* TIMING...Friday afternoon and early evening.
* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
Take extra precautions, if you work or spend time outside.
When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the occupational safety
and health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest
breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome
by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat
stroke is an emergency, call 9 1 1.

NWS Sioux Falls SD
Heat Advisory issued June 28 at 3:11AM CDT until June 28 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Sioux Falls SD
* HEAT INDEX VALUES...Up to 103 due to temperatures in the lower
90s, and dewpoints in the lower 70s.
* TIMING...Friday afternoon and early evening.
* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids...stay in an air-conditioned
room...stay out of the sun...and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
Take extra precautions...if you work or spend time outside. When
possible...reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work...the occupational safety and
health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency...call 9 1 1.

NWS Kansas City/Pleasant HIll MO
Heat Advisory issued June 28 at 3:19AM CDT until June 28 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant HIll MO
* TEMPERATURE...Afternoon temperatures will climb into the low to
middle 90s with oppressive humidity leading to heat index
values of 100 and 105.
* IMPACTS...Heat illness is possible for those spending
prolonged time outside or those who are more susceptible to
heat, such as young children and elderly.

NWS Kansas City/Pleasant HIll MO
Heat Advisory issued June 28 at 3:19AM CDT until June 28 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant HIll MO
The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Heat Advisory, which is in effect from 1 PM this
afternoon to 9 PM CDT this evening.
Heat
stroke is an emergency, call 9 1 1.

central Nebraska as temperatures in the 90s combine with dew
points in the upper 60s. Hot temperatures are expected to continue
into Saturday across parts of north central Nebraska; however,
there is uncertainty in whether the humidity will be high enough
to promote increased heat impacts.
* Heat Index Values...Up to 100 due to temperatures in the lower
90s...and dewpoints in the upper 60s.
* Timing...Peak heat index readings are expected between 3 and 6
PM.
* Impacts...Prolonged exposure to this heat can be dangerous if
the proper precautions are not taken.
When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.

Flash Flood Watch issued June 28 at 3:39AM CDT until June 28 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* A portion of southeast Missouri, including the following
areas, Bollinger, Butler, Carter, New Madrid, Ripley,

* The heavy rain that falls may lead to renewed flash flooding in
western portions of southeast Missouri through this morning.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Flood Advisory issued June 27 at 10:51PM HST until June 27 at 11:45PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI
At 1045 PM HST...radar indicated heavy rain falling over the island
of Kauai. Rainfall rates currently range from 1 to 3 inches an hour.
A heavier band of showers is currently moving into the Waimea and

then a flash flood warning may be needed.
Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
the entire island of Kauai.
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.
Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.
Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
