* from this afternoon to Saturday evening.
* At 7:15 AM Friday the stage was 10.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage this morning and continue to
rise to near 16.0 feet by this evening. The river will fall below
flood stage Saturday morning.

* Until 815 PM CDT Friday.
* At 751 AM CDT, emergency management continued to report high water
in many neighborhoods across the eastern third of the Rio Grande
Valley in the warned area. Slow improvement is underway in some
areas, but others remain inundated with at least 1 to 2 feet of
water depth. Flooded roads were most common in the cities of
Raymondville, Sebastian, La Feria, and Monte Alto. More than a
dozen Farm to Market roads are flooded or closed in these areas.
* Some locations that will continue to experience flooding include...
Harlingen, Weslaco, Mercedes, Raymondville, La Feria, Elsa,
Edcouch, Santa Rosa, Lyford and La Villa.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
