At 1159 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Mount Pleasant to near Lowell to 6 miles east of
Bonaparte, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported trees down in Mount Pleasant.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Pleasant, New London, Danville, Salem, Hillsboro, St. Paul,
Westwood, Pilot Grove, Lowell, Houghton, Henry County Fairgrounds, Mt
Hamill, Oakland Mills, Geode State Park, Oakland Mills Park, Mount
Pleasant Municipal Arpt, Prairie Grove, Water Works Park, Stephenson
Park and Primrose.
To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.

the Quad Cities.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 28 at 12:59PM CDT until June 28 at 1:15PM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL
At 1258 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Stronghurst to near Disco to near Ferris, moving
east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotter estimated winds of 70 mph east
of the Burlington airport.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Burlington, Fort Madison, Carthage, Nauvoo, West Burlington, La
Harpe, Dallas City, Montrose, Stronghurst, Middletown, Carman, Terre
Haute, Ferris, Gulf Port, Colusa, Adrian, New Boston, Burnside, Niota
and Iowa Army Ammunition Plant.
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
