Strong southerly winds with gusts of over 40 mph with relative
humidities ranging from 10 to 15 percent, combined with above
average temperatures could support critical fire weather
conditions over much of the western South Dakota plains Monday
afternoon.

JTWC's Invest 92W has moved well away from Palau and continues to
develop near the Philippines. Convection greatly diminished
overnight, and the overall threat for strong, gusty showers has
decreased for Palau as indicated by surface observations and model
guidance. This will be the last update for this Special Weather
Statement regarding 92W.
Any updates will be provided to the Residents across the Republic of
Palau by the National Weather Service in Guam, along with any
additional information from your local Weather Service Office and
Emergency Management. More information can be found under the WMO

life threatening swimming conditions. Waves in rapid
succession can tire swimmers quickly.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Current related fatalities and rescues in
the past have occurred due to similar wave conditions at
locations listed below:
For Marquette County: Middle Bay north of Presque Isle and at
Little Presque Isle.
For Alger County: The Au Train River mouth at Au Train, the
exposed regions of Grand Marais Harbor, and Pictured Rocks
National Lakeshore.
Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
