NWS Wilmington OH
Air Quality Alert issued July 13 at 2:36PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH
The Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency has issued an Air Quality
Advisory for Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties in Ohio;
Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn County
in Indiana, in effect until 9 PM EDT this evening, and again in
effect from 6 AM to 9 PM EDT Saturday.
The Agency expects to see levels of ozone in the 'unhealthy for
sensitive groups' range on the Air Quality Index.
On Air Quality Advisory days, everyone can help reduce ozone
formation by taking the following actions:
*Take the bus, carpool, bike, or walk instead of drive.
*Refuel your vehicle after 8 PM; do not top off when refueling
and tighten the gas cap.
*Do not idle your vehicle; exhaust contributes considerably to
ozone formation.
*Avoid use of gasoline-powered lawn equipment on Air Quality
Advisory days.
For additional information, please visit the Southwest Ohio Air
Quality Agency's web site at
www.southwestohioair.org/local_air_quality.

NWS Albuquerque NM
Flood Advisory issued July 13 at 12:37PM MDT expiring July 13 at 3:30PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a
* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Central Catron County in west central New Mexico...
* Until 330 PM MDT.
* At 1237 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in
the advisory area.
* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of central Catron
County.
This will impact the Buzzard wild fire burn scar including but not
limited to Deep Canyon, Forest Roads 94, 38 and 233, Bear Canyon,
Long Canyon and Five Springs Canyon.
Runoff from rainfall will cause elevated water levels within
vulnerable drainages in and downstream of the Buzzard fire burn area.
In mountainous or hilly terrain there are numerous low water
crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
The heavy rainfall and slow movement of these storms may result in
flooding of road intersections and low lying areas. Waters may begin
to run in normally dry arroyos.

NWS Columbia SC
Flood Advisory issued July 13 at 2:37PM EDT expiring July 13 at 4:30PM EDT by NWS Columbia SC
The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Central Burke County in east central Georgia...
* Until 430 PM EDT.
* At 233 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated 2 to 3 inches of rain
have fallen from the Waynesboro area eastward across parts of
eastern Burke County. Additional rainfall will occur which
may lead to minor flooding along small streams and ponding
of water along roadways.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Shell Bluff, Alexander, Sardis and Girard.
It takes little water to move a vehicle off the road and into
deeper water.
Stay away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams. Water
levels can rise rapidly.
A Flood Advisory means small stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

An upper level ridge will build over the western U.S. through the
weekend, then shift over the Southern Plains for the last half of
next week. The resulting sinking air will bring lower humidity,
lower cloudcover, and higher temperatures to our area. Afternoon
heat index values will range from 105 to 109 generally along and
east of Interstate 35. Overnight lows will only drop into the mid
to upper 70s, offering little relief.
Plan now to have plenty of water and sports drinks on hand to help
prevent dehydration. Try to stay in air-conditioned areas or under
shade if outside from noon to 6 pm each day next week. Make sure
pets and plants have adequate water and shade or air-conditioning.
Check on neighbors, especially if they live alone or you might be
concerned about their overall health. Besides the normal advice
of Beat the Heat, Check the Backseat! for child safety, next week
is not the time for anyone or any pets to spend time in a hot car.
Move quickly from your car to an air-conditioned building as fast
as possible.

NWS Albuquerque NM
Flood Advisory issued July 13 at 12:53PM MDT expiring July 13 at 3:45PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a
* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
East central Sandoval County in north central New Mexico...
* Until 345 PM MDT.
* At 1252 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.
* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of east central
Sandoval County including the Cajete burn scar, Highway 4, and
portions of the Jemez River.
Runoff from rainfall will cause elevated water levels within
vulnerable drainages in and downstream of the
Cajete fire burn area.
In mountainous or hilly terrain there are numerous low water
crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

NWS Lake Charles LA
Special Weather Statement issued July 13 at 1:54PM CDT by NWS Lake Charles LA
At 130 PM CDT...The National Weather Service has received a
report of a funnel cloud in the vicinity of Erath.
A very moist and unstable tropical airmass is in place across
the area. Meanwhile...the vertical wind profile over the area
is light and variable. These conditions are favorable for the
development of tropical funnel clouds...especially where rain
cooled boundaries...known as outflow boundaries...and the
seabreeze collide.
These tropical funnel clouds are usually short-lived and do not
reach the ground. If the funnel cloud becomes more severe and
reaches the ground...minor damage may occur...and a tornado
warning will likely be issued.
Stay tuned for later statements and updates on this weather
situation.

NWS Albuquerque NM
Flood Advisory issued July 13 at 12:58PM MDT expiring July 13 at 4:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a
* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Western Colfax County in northeastern New Mexico...
* Until 400 PM MDT.
* At 1257 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in
the advisory area.
This will impact the Ute Park fire burn scar including but not
limited to Highway 64 from Ute Park to Cimarron, the Cimarron
River and the Philmont Scout Ranch backcountry as well as Ute Park
including Hummingbird Lane and Cimarron.
Some areas north of Highway 64 that will be impacted include State
Road 204, Bear and Dean Canyons, Ponil Creek, and Turkey
Creek. Some areas south of Highway 64 that will be impacted include
Webster and Cimarroncito Reservoirs, Cimarroncito Creek,
Vaca Pond, Deer Lake, Ute Gulch and Grouse and Sawmill Canyons.
Runoff from rainfall will cause elevated water levels within
vulnerable drainages in and downstream of the
Ute Park fire burn area.
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
The heavy rainfall and slow movement of these storms may result in
flooding of road intersections and low lying areas. Waters may begin
to run in normally dry arroyos.
