* WHAT...Snow expected. Snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches
expected through this afternoon.
* WHERE...Highway 2 Kalispell to Libby, Highway 37 Eureka to
Libby, Highway 56 Bull Lake Road, and Highway 93 Eureka to
Whitefish.

cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue
to monitor the latest forecasts.

NWS Fort Worth TX
Special Weather Statement issued February 8 at 5:06AM CST by NWS Fort Worth TX
Light sleet or snow will be possible this morning mainly for
locations south of a Goldthwaite to Hillsboro to Athens line.
While air temperatures will be below freezing, no travel impacts
are anticipated due to the very light nature of precipitation.
Later this afternoon and evening, an additional area of rain,
snow, and sleet may develop across Central Texas and into the
I-20/30 corridor. While most locales are not expected to
experience travel impacts, a potential exists for embedded heavier
bursts of snow or sleet into the evening hours which could result
in some light accumulations on elevated or grassy surfaces. The
chance for wintry precipitation will begin to decrease late this
evening.

NWS Paducah KY
Special Weather Statement issued February 8 at 5:09AM CST by NWS Paducah KY
The drastic change to blustery and cold conditions has lead to
morning wind chills in the single digits to near 10 degrees. In
fact, as northwest winds continue to blow today, wind chill
readings are expected to stay in the teens and 20s all afternoon,
before dropping back into the 0 to 10 degree range again tonight.
In addition, as we head into Sunday, a light wintry mix of
freezing rain, sleet and snow will be possible, mainly over
southeast Missouri, southern Illinois and southwest Indiana.
Though there could be some morning travel impacts, the
precipitation is expected to transition over to a cold rain by
Sunday afternoon at most locations.

NWS Pocatello ID
Special Weather Statement issued February 8 at 4:14AM MST by NWS Pocatello ID
A strong low pressure system moving into the northern Rocky
Mountains from the west is expected to bring periods of moderate
to heavy snow, as well as strong winds, to southeast Idaho this
weekend. While light snow showers may begin as early as tonight,
the most significant snow and wind is expected Saturday night and
Sunday.
Snow accumulations Saturday night and Sunday are expected to range
from 1 to 3 inches across the eastern Magic Valley and Raft River
region, to 2 to 4 inches along the Interstate 86 and Interstate
15 corridors of the Snake Plain including American Falls,
Pocatello, Blackfoot, and Idaho Falls, to 4 to 6 inches across the
Arco and Mud Lake Deserts and lower Big Lost Valley including
Mackay and Arco. Accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are possible
across the Cache Valley, Bear Lake region, and Caribou Highlands,
with 4 to 8 inches in Swan Valley and the Teton Valley, and 6 to
12 inches across the Upper Snake Highlands and Island Park region.
The combination of falling and blowing and drifting snow will
likely lead to difficult travel conditions across the region due
to snow covered roads and reduced visibility.
Finally, a strong cold front is expected to cross the region from
west to east Sunday afternoon and evening. This front may be
accompanied by heavy snow squalls and strong winds producing
a brief period of whiteout conditions and very dangerous travel.
Everyone across southeast Idaho is encouraged to stay tuned to the
latest forecasts from the National Weather Service, and be
prepared for winter weather and travel impacts this weekend. As
forecast confidence increases, watches, warnings, and advisories
may be issued.
