NWS Anchorage, AK
Special Weather Statement issued April 23 at 4:31AM AKDT by NWS Anchorage, AK
Snow that fell on Monday across most of Southcentral started to
melt and then refroze overnight. A few snow showers are also lingering
this morning. The combination of these elements will likely make
for some very slick spots along roadways early this morning,
especially on less traveled surfaces and overpasses. Temperatures
should climb back above freezing by late morning allowing
conditions to improve. Please allow extra time and braking
distance on your commute.
For current road conditions dial 5-1-1 or visit www.511.alaska.gov.
