East Fork White River...Wabash River...White River...
.Lowland flooding has developed across many area rivers and streams
as a result of approximately 2 to 3 inches of rain that has fallen
across portions of central Indiana late last week. Periodic low rain
chances then linger across the area through Thursday. Rain amounts
associated with much of these rain chances look to be light and
should not impact ongoing flooding or lead to renewed flooding.
Flooding on lower portions of the White and Wabash Rivers look to end
by the beginning of next month.

The East Fork White River near Bedford.

* At 23.7 feet...During the Late March 2008 flood, the Bedford Times
reported the following County Roads still flooded; River Road,
entire road; Bartlettsville Road, by the bridge and in the bottoms;
Judah-Logan Road, by the bridge; Logan Bottoms, the gravel part;
Donica Church Road, between Logan Bottom and the hill; Peerless
Road, by Mica Metals; Little Salt Creek Run; Stumphole Bridge Road
near Indiana State Road 450; Huron-Williams Road; Lawrenceport
Road; Rivervale Road and Earl Road.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

Crawford County Illinois are impassable.

river will continue to rise to near 17.5 feet by Saturday evening then
begin falling. The river is expected to fall below flood stage next
Thursday May 2.

* Rainfall amounts of one to two additional inches remain
possible. Isolated heavier amounts are possible. This may

* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 26.3 feet
by midday Wednesday.
* At 26.0 feet...The water reaches the bottom of the bridge on County
Road 15 one mile northwest of the gauge, and SD Highway 28 at the
Spink/Beadle county line floods.

At 1145 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Longworth, or
8 miles northeast of Sweetwater, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northern Nolan, southern Fisher and northwestern Taylor Counties,
including the following locations... Gannon, Lake Sweetwater, Busby
and Capitola.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
