Washita County in western Oklahoma...
Southern Custer County in western Oklahoma...
* Until 700 AM CDT.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Weatherford, Clinton, Cordell, Burns Flat, Sentinel, Arapaho, Dill
City, Canute, Corn, Bessie, Rocky, Foss, Retrop, Cloud Chief and

NWS Corpus Christi TX
Coastal Flood Advisory issued May 8 at 3:02AM CDT until May 8 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Corpus Christi TX
The combination of persistent onshore flow, long period swell,
and high astronomical tide, is expected to raise water levels
along the Middle Texas Coast today. Water is expected to reach
the dunes near the time of high tide and render driving
difficult.
The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a
Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect until 6 PM CDT this
evening.
* COASTAL FLOODING...Tide levels are expected to approach 1.3 feet
above ground level (2.3 feet above Mean Sea Level) near the time
of high tide today. High Tide at Bob Hall Pier will occur at 830
AM this morning. High Tide at Port Aransas will occur at 1152
AM, and High Tide at Port OConnor will occur at 255 PM.
* TIMING...Until 6 PM CDT today.
* IMPACTS...Adverse driving conditions are expected as water
reaches the dunes, mainly during high tide cycle. Some beach
access roads may become impassible.
A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.

NWS Marquette MI
Special Weather Statement issued May 8 at 4:05AM EDT by NWS Marquette MI
An approaching system from the south will bring widespread
precipitation to the Upper Peninsula later today through
Thursday. Initially later this afternoon and evening,
precipitation is expected to start off as rain. As temperatures
cool overnight into early Thursday morning rain is expected to
switch over to snow, mixing with sleet and/or freezing rain at
times. Overall, 1 to 3 inches of snow will be possible across far
western and north central Upper Michigan. Greater snowfall
amounts are expected across the higher terrain, especially over
the spine of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Closer to Lake Superior,
little to no accumulations are expected.
Snow will take on wet, dense characteristics, which could make
the Thursday morning commute slippery in spots. If temperatures
warm or cool a degree or two more than what is currently forecast,
snowfall amounts could be lower or higher, respectively. While
local rivers, streams, and or creeks have gradually fallen since
the big spring snowmelt, rises on these waterways will occur due
to the expected precipitation.
Keep a close eye on the forecast for subsequent updates.

Flash Flood Watch issued May 8 at 3:09AM CDT until May 9 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Topeka KS
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, north central
Kansas, and northeast Kansas, including the following areas,
in central Kansas, Dickinson. In east central Kansas,
Anderson, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Geary, Lyon, Morris,
Osage, Shawnee, and Wabaunsee. In north central Kansas, Clay,
Cloud, Ottawa, Republic, and Washington. In northeast Kansas,
Brown, Jackson, Jefferson, Marshall, Nemaha, Pottawatomie, and
Riley.
* Through late tonight
* Several rounds of heavy rain should bring an additional 1 to 2
inches of rain to the area. Soils are saturated from rain that
fell Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning. Additional
heavy rainfall will lead to runoff which will cause flash
flooding as well as flooding along streams and creeks.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
Small Craft Advisory issued May 8 at 3:11AM CDT until May 9 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
Northeast winds will increase this morning and then shift east.
Expect the winds to veer to the southeast tonight before diminishing
for a time on Thursday. This easterly fetch of the winds will
bring building waves across the nearshore waters of Lake Michigan
through tonight.
* WINDS: Northeast 10 to 20 knots becoming east and increasing to
15 to 20 knots, with gusts to 25 knots. Winds become southeast
10 to 20 knots by later tonight.
* WAVES: 2 to 4 feet building to 3 to 6 feet today and 5 to 8
feet this evening, before subsiding to 3 to 5 feet by early
Thursday morning.
A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

NWS Fort Worth TX
Flood Advisory issued May 8 at 3:14AM CDT until May 8 at 6:15AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX
The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a
* Flood Advisory for Rapid Creek and Stream Rises in...
Palo Pinto County in north central Texas...
* Until 615 AM CDT.
* At 313 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that were
producing heavy rainfall across Palo Pinto County. Excessive
runoff from these thunderstorms will cause small stream flooding.
This means some low water crossings in the region may become
impassable. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen, and another
inch of rainfall is possible over the next hour.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mineral Wells, Graford and Possum Kingdom State Park.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

NWS Cleveland OH
Lakeshore Flood Warning issued May 8 at 4:17AM EDT until May 9 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH
* LOCATIONS...Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Erie Counties in Ohio,
including the Lake Erie Islands.
* TIMING...From 8 AM Wednesday to 8 AM EDT Thursday.
* LAKESHORE FLOODING...Strengthening northeast to easterly winds
today will lead to increasing water levels across the western
Lake Erie basin. As of 4 AM EDT, the water level at Toledo was
66 inches above low water datum. The water level is expected to
begin rising this morning and continue into this evening,
peaking near or above 90 inches above Low Water Datum. In
addition, wave action of 4 to 8 feet on the western basin of
Lake Erie will enhance the flooding threat and beach erosion.
Water levels will begin to recede late tonight as winds on Lake
Erie shift around to the south.
* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Significant lakeshore flooding is expected
along the immediate lakeshore. Some roads may become impassable.
Beach and shoreline erosion is also possible. Rising water
levels in marinas and waterways into the lake may also submerge
docks and shoreline structures.
A Lakeshore Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or
imminent along the lake. Residents on or near the shore in the
warned area should be alert for rising water...and take
appropriate action to protect life and property.
* Prepare, plan and stay informed. Visit www.weather.gov/safety

Flash Flood Watch issued May 8 at 3:36AM CDT until May 9 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant HIll MO
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of Kansas and Missouri, including the following
areas, in Kansas, Atchison KS, Doniphan, Johnson KS,

additional 1 to 2 inches of rain to the area, on top of the 1-3
inches that have already fallen. Local streams are running high
and soils are saturated.

* Portions of north central Kansas and south central Nebraska,
including the following areas, in north central Kansas,

area...particularly across the Little Blue River basin.
Additional brief heavy downpours...along with the possibility
of a few thunderstorms...could result in rapid runoff and

Flash Flood Watch issued May 8 at 3:43AM CDT until May 9 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Shreveport LA
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of Arkansas, northwest Louisiana, southeast Oklahoma,
and northeast Texas, including the following areas, in
Arkansas, Columbia, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little
River, Miller, Nevada, Sevier, and Union. In northwest
Louisiana, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, and Webster. In
southeast Oklahoma, McCurtain. In northeast Texas, Bowie,
Camp, Cass, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Red
River, Smith, Titus, Upshur, and Wood.
* From 7 AM CDT this morning through Thursday morning
* A series of upper level disturbances will tap plentiful moisture
in the atmosphere to produce periods of excessive heavy rainfall
across the Flash Flood Watch area. Storm total amounts from this
afternoon through the predawn hours Thursday Morning could total
2 to 4 inches with isolated higher amounts.
* Excessive heavy rainfall amounts will result in Flash Flooding
conditions, especially across flood prone areas. In addition,
area creeks, bayous, lakes and rivers remain very high from
previous rainfall. This additional rainfall will likely result
in additional rises and crests on all waterways.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

NWS Wichita KS
Flash Flood Watch issued May 8 at 3:44AM CDT until May 9 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* portions of Central, South-Central, and Southeast Kansas.
* Through late tonight.
* A significant and higher-impact flooding threat continues
through this evening due to continued rounds of thunderstorms.
The last round of thunderstorms is forecast to move through
later today, ending from west to east this evening. The primary
threat of flash flooding will end tonight, but river flooding
will continue well beyond tonight.
* Over the past couple of days, there have been numerous water
rescues, stranded vehicles, closed and impassable roads
(including sections of the Kansas Turnpike), and water entering
homes and basements. Any additional rainfall through this
evening could cause more flash flooding. The greatest flash
flood threat through tonight looks to be along and east of the
Kansas Turnpike.
A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Remember to turn around, don't drown. You should monitor later
forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood
warnings be issued.

Nacogdoches, Panola, Red River, Rusk, Shelby, Smith, Titus,
Upshur, and Wood.
* From 7 AM CDT this morning through Thursday morning
* A series of upper level disturbances will tap plentiful moisture
in the atmosphere to produce periods of excessive heavy rainfall
across the Flash Flood Watch area. Storm total amounts Today
through sunrise Thursday Morning could total 2 to 4 inches with
isolated higher amounts.

NWS St Louis MO
Flash Flood Watch issued May 8 at 3:47AM CDT until May 9 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* a portion of central Missouri...including the following
counties...Boone MO...Callaway MO...Cole MO...Moniteau MO and
Osage MO.
* through Thursday morning
* Several rounds of thunderstorms will impact the region through
late Wednesday night. These thunderstorms will be capable of
producing heavy rainfall on ground that is already saturated
which could cause flash flooding.
* Heavy rainfall will result in flooding of low lying or poor
drainage areas...and ultimately dangerous flash flooding on
smaller creeks and streams. Additional rises on larger streams
and rivers will also be possible.
A Flash Flood Watch is advanced notice that conditions are
favorable that may lead to flash flooding. People in the Watch
area, especially in flood prone areas, should use this time to
make preparations just in case. Stay informed, and be ready for
quick action if flooding is observed or if a Flash Flood Warning
is issued.
