The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a
* Flood Warning for...
Northern and Eastern Shannon County in south central Missouri...
* Until 130 AM CDT Thursday.
* At 128 PM CDT, Echo Bluff State Park reported flooding along
Sinking Creek. The gauge at Powder Mill along the Current River
was also measuring river levels that are indicative of flooding.
Four and half inches of rain fell last night along the Sinking and
Big Creek basins, which is flooding the Current River, Sinking
Creek, Big Creek, and the smaller tributaries within the warned
area. This water will continue to drain into the Current River
below Round Spring and create elevated river conditions over the
next several hours.
* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
susceptible to the dangers of flooding.
Locations in the warning include...
Current River State Park... Round Spring...
Echo Bluff State Park...
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

NWS Denver CO
Winter Weather Advisory issued May 8 at 12:42PM MDT until May 9 at 6:00PM MDT by NWS Denver CO
Snow showers will increase in the mountains this afternoon and
continue through through Thursday. Rain showers will gradually
change to snow in the foothills by the late afternoon and should
be all snow by this evening.
Significant snow accumulations are expected over the higher
foothills and north central Colorado mountains. Relatively warm
roads will reduce the impact initially, however, roads will
likely become snow covered and icy overnight into Thursday
morning.
Along the front range. rain will change to snow by late evening
and continue into Thursday afternoon. Roads across the Palmer
Divide could become icy and snowpacked late tonight into Thursday
morning, for the morning commute, with 3 to 6 inches of
accumulation. Over the urban corridor snow amounts from 1 to 4
inches may occur with accumulations confined to grassy areas.
Locally higher accumulations may occur near the base of the
foothills with up to 6 inches possible.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12
inches expected.
* WHERE...Southern Front Range Foothills.
* WHEN...From noon Wednesday to 6 PM MDT Thursday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be hazardous with slushy and
snow covered roads at times.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can
be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
