At 211 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Watervale to Tully. Movement was east at
35 mph.
Small hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these
storms.
Locations impacted include...
Pompey, Eaton, Paris, Hamilton, Cazenovia, Morrisville, Stockbridge,
Augusta, Nelson and Waterville.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD...
At 224 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of showers, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots, were extending from 29 nm
northwest of Key Bridge to 31 nm northwest of Quantico, moving east
at 25 knots. This line will reach the Washington DC waters of the
Tidal Potomac River between 330PM and 400 PM.
Locations impacted include...
Quantico, Gunston Hall, Mason Neck State Park, Woodrow Wilson Bridge,
Occoquan Bay, Leesylvania State Park, National Harbor, Fort Hunt and
Fort Washington.
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and possibly lightning strikes. This line of showers could
intensify into thunderstorms. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these showers and possible storms pass.

flooding. Evacuation road from Beech Bend Park boat parking lot
becomes flooded.

storms.

Utica, Rome, Kirkland, Westmoreland, Trenton, Paris, Deerfield,
Floyd, Whitesboro and New York Mills.
Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to
minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

* At 254 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Lebanon, or near Hamilton, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
