At 1120 PM EDT, doppler radar and surface observations indicated
around 2 inches of rain had fallen across the warned area. Runoff
from this rain is expected to cause flooding of creeks, streams, low-
lying, urban and poor drainage areas.
Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Baltimore, Pikesville, Ellicott City, Towson, Catonsville, Woodlawn,
Randallstown, Parkville, Owings Mills, Carney, Milford Mill,
Lochearn, Mays Chapel, Timonium, Hampton, Lutherville-Timonium,
Garrison, Lutherville, Riderwood and Granite.
This includes the following streams and drainages...Brice Run...
Colgate Creek...Whitemarsh Run...Scotts Level Branch...Western Run...
North Branch Jones Falls...Maidens Choice Run...Red Run...Moore
Run...Minebank Run...Herring Run...Fitzhugh Run...Jones Falls...East
Branch...Gwynns Falls...Oregon Branch...Towson Run...North Branch
Patapsco River...Patapsco River...Herbert Run...Bens Run...
Slaughterhouse Branch...Stony Run...Mardella Branch...Dead Run...
Gunpowder Falls and Stemmers Run.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
