East central Lafourche Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
Central Jefferson Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
* Until 115 AM CDT.
* At 1242 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located near Cut Off, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
east central Lafourche and central Jefferson Parishes.
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile
home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and

At 1245 AM CDT, Meteorologists were tracking a strong thunderstorm
near Lumberton, or 7 miles north of Poplarville, moving northeast at
25 mph.
Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
This strong thunderstorm will be near...
Lumberton around 1255 AM CDT.
Rock Hill around 115 AM CDT.
Purvis around 120 AM CDT.
Pine Ridge around 125 AM CDT.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
High winds can bring down trees and large limbs resulting in serious
injury or property damage. Exercise extreme caution when outdoors
during such strong winds...and be especially aware of older trees.
