NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC
Special Weather Statement issued May 11 at 6:30PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC
At 630 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm with
intense lightning 12 miles southwest of Lancaster, or over Great
Falls, moving east at 15 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Great Falls and Fishing Creek Reservoir.

higher ground if threatened by flood waters.
Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If outdoors, try to
get indoors or into a hard topped vehicle. Otherwise, stay away from
open areas and isolated high objects such as trees. When indoors,
stay away from windows and doors and avoid using wired electronic
devices. Do not take a shower or bath. Try to unplug unnecessary
appliances before the storm approaches.

NWS Corpus Christi TX
Coastal Flood Advisory issued May 11 at 5:36PM CDT until May 11 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Corpus Christi TX
Long period swells continue to push into the Middle Texas coast
leading to tide levels once again expected to push near 1.0 ft
above ground level (2.0 ft above MSL) at times of high time today.
This will lead to water approaching or reaching the dunes along
area beaches.
* COASTAL FLOODING...Tide levels remain high along the coast, near
1 foot above ground level (2 feet above Mean Sea Level) during
high tide this late afternoon and early evening.
* Timing...Through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Poor driving conditions are expected as water
reaches the dunes, mainly during high tide cycle. Some beach
access roads will be impassible. High water levels will also
approach low areas along the intracoastal waterways and bays.
A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
