NWS Sacramento CA
Wind Advisory issued May 15 at 12:08PM PDT until May 16 at 5:00PM PDT by NWS Sacramento CA
A strong late season Pacific storm will enhance southerly winds
through Thursday evening, with wind gusts up 30 to 40 mph at
times, especially over the northern Sacramento Valley. There may
be a potential lull in the stronger winds early Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 5 PM PDT Thursday.
* TIMING...2 PM Wednesday to 5 PM Thursday
* WINDS...Sustained southerly winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts
up to 40 mph.
* IMPACTS...Downed tree branches, loose or unsecured objects may
be blown around, and difficulty driving conditions for high-
profile vehicles.
A Wind Advisory means that constant wind speeds over 25 mph are
expected or wind gusts over 40 mph. Winds this strong can down
trees and branches, cause power outages, and make driving
difficult, especially for small cars and high profile vehicles.
Use extra caution.
