NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC
Flash Flood Warning issued June 30 at 2:53AM EDT until June 30 at 4:30AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC
At 251 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of
rain have already fallen. Additional heavy rain with localized
amounts around 1 to 2 inches are expected overnight. This will cause
creeks and streams to rapidly rise out of their banks.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

NWS Charleston SC
Marine Weather Statement issued June 30 at 2:56AM EDT by NWS Charleston SC
Conditions will be favorable for the development of waterspouts
across the coastal waters of Southeast South Carolina and
Southeast Georgia this morning. The risk will be highest in the
waters from Bulls Bay out to 30 NM and extending south to Saint
Catherines Sound extending out 10 NM. This includes the Savannah
River Entrance and the entrance to Charleston Harbor. The risk
should diminish by late morning as a sea breeze begins to develop
and move inland.
Waterspouts can develop rapidly and produce winds and seas that
are dangerous for vessels and everyone onboard. If a waterspout
occurs, move your boat away from it.
Report all waterspout sightings to the Coast Guard and ask them
to immediately relay your report to the National Weather Service
in Charleston.
