At 1214 AM CDT, local law enforcement and spotters reported flash
flooding along Highway 51 from Ullin south. Water was over the
highway in several locations. Also, Jackson creek is out of its
banks near Newell Road 2 miles north of Tamms.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cairo, Mounds, Tamms, Mound City, Karnak, Olive Branch, Horseshoe
Lake Conservation Area, Ullin, Thebes, Olmsted, New Grand Chain,
Pulaski and East Cape Girardeau.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

At 1146 PM MDT, the public reported strong thunderstorms along a line
extending from near Little Moreau Rec Area to 10 miles south of
Parade. Movement was east at 35 mph.
Pea size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Eagle Butte, Timber Lake, Firesteel, Little Moreau Rec Area, White
Horse, Green Grass, Laplant, Parade, Ridgeview, Tiospaye Topa School,
Promise, Glencross and Lake Oahe.

At 1157 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm 13 miles
southwest of Townsend, moving northeast at 25 mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Townsend, Silos, Radersburg and Elkhorn State Park.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
If on or near Canyon Ferry, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
