the most vulnerable shore roads and/or basements due to the

* WINDS...Southwest to west winds near 15 knots early this morning
will clock around to northwest and increase to near 20 knots

afternoon. Northwest winds of around 20 knots will persist well
into tonight.
* WAVES/SEAS...Seas will build up to near 7 feet in portions of
the deep Gulf waters, as well as portions of the Gulf Stream.
A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots,
or seas of 7 feet or greater, are expected to produce hazardous
conditions for small craft. Inexperienced boaters, especially

Areas of fog occasionally reducing visibility to around one-
half mile have developed along the eastern side of the Red River
Valley in northwest Minnesota. Travelers are encouraged to be
prepared for the possibility of rapidly deteriorating visibility,
and to use extra caution at intersections, railroad crossings, and
school bus stops. The fog is expected to improve by 8 AM.

* At 446 AM EST, National Weather Service meteorologists were
tracking a gusty shower near Orangetree, or near Golden Gate
Estates, moving east at 40 mph.
* Winds in excess of 45 mph and funnel clouds possible with this
shower.
* Locations impacted include...
Ave Maria, Golden Gate Estates, Hendry Correctional, Orangetree,
Sunniland and Intersection I-75 And Everglades Blvd.
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
This activity was also developing in an environment favorable for the
formation of funnel clouds. Stay tuned to NOAA weather radio and
local media for additional updates and possible warnings.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Accumulations of 5 to 10 inches.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, interior southern
Connecticut and southeast New York.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow this morning and into tonight. There
is potential for heavy snow banding to develop over the area,
with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour possible. If this
occurs, snowfall amounts could be a few inches higher than
forecast.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
Check local Department of Transportation information services for
the latest road conditions.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut
and southeast New York.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain this morning will change to snow late
this morning into afternoon. These amounts potentially could be
higher should the transition to snow occur earlier. In
addition, there is the potential for a heavy band of snow just
to the west, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour.
Should this band move over the advisory area, snowfall totals
would be a few inches higher than forecast.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
Check local Department of Transportation information services for
the latest road conditions.
