HAZARDS...A band of heavy snow which can rapidly reduce visibility to
near zero. This band of heavy snow is producing extremely heavy snow
at the rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour.
LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 807 AM EST, a band of heavy snow was along
a line extending from Jasper to near Grover and moving southwest at 5
MPH.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
Mansfield, Wellsboro, Morris, Elkland, Blossburg, Westfield,
Covington, Arnot, Keeneyville, Ralston, Ogdensburg, Buttonwood,
Tioga, Knoxville, Liberty, Osceola and Mansfield University.
SAFETY INFO...
The snow will accumulate so rapidly that it will be extremely
difficult for the road crews to keep the roads clear. Consider

break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming
difficult and dangerous.

Winter Storm Warning issued December 2 at 5:49AM PST until December 2 at 4:00PM PST by NWS Hanford CA
...A strong winter storm will impact the Southern Sierra Nevada
through the afternoon...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 7000 feet today into Monday.
Additional accumulations of one foot, with isolated amounts of
two feet above 7000 feet. The Winds could gust as high as 55
mph on exposed ridgetops and along the crest.
* WHERE...Southern Sierra Nevada above 7000 feet.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM PST Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult or impossible. If you
plan to travel, consider alternate strategies. Wind chill
readings of as low as 25 degrees below zero could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
If you must travel, remember to carry tire chains, plenty of
food, a good deal of water, and warm clothing in your vehicle.

Paint Rock River near Woodville affecting Jackson...Madison and
Marshall Counties
The Flood Warning continues for
the Paint Rock River near Woodville.
* until Thursday morning.
* At 7 AM Monday the stage was 16.9 feet and rising.
* Flood Stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor Flooding is occurring and Minor Flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at
7 AM Monday was 16.9 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.9 feet by
early tomorrow afternoon. The river will fall below Flood Stage
early Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet...Water is covering Alabama State Route 65
about two miles north of U.S. Highway 72. Several County Roads in
Paint Rock Valley are flooded...including Jackson County Road 20.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.6 feet
on Feb 24 2019.
Safety message...Do not attempt to drive through a flooded road. The
depth of water is not always obvious. As little as two feet of water
will carry most cars away. Also, the road bed may be washed out under
the water, and you could be stranded or trapped. Additional
