NWS Miami FL
Rip Current Statement issued January 19 at 4:21PM EST until January 20 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Miami FL
* WHAT...Also a lingering swell that will continue into the early
part of the week will result in a high risk of dangerous rip
currents continuing through at least Monday.
* WHERE...Coastal Palm Beach County.
* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions. Rip
currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into
deeper water.
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
