Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches, highest totals in
the higher elevations, are expected.
* WHERE...Middle Tanana Valley.
* WHEN...Through 6 PM Sunday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highest snowfall amounts will be in the
hills north of Fairbanks. Snow will mix with rain this evening
in valleys, and create slick roads and hazardous driving
conditions. Look for reduced visibilities at times. Winds will
increase on Sunday with gusts to 30 mph. The gusty winds will
cause areas of blowing and drifting snow on summits.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods
of snow and blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. The

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow occurring. Visibility one half mile
or less at times. Plan on difficult road conditions. Additional
snow accumulations of 4 inches are expected.
* WHERE...In Passes of the Northeastern Brooks Range.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM Sunday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...South winds gusting as high as 35 mph will
cause areas of blowing and drifting snow. The strong winds
combined with the heavy wet snow will increase the chances of
avalanches.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods
of snow and blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. The
latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
