.Snow levels are currently 3,500 to 4,000 feet in Trinity county.
Heavy snow is expected this morning. Showers will continue this
afternoon and tonight. Snow levels will gradually fall to 2,500
feet late tonight, but most accumulating snow will be above 3,500
feet.
* WHAT...Heavy snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches above 4,000
feet today and 3 to 7 inches for elevations near 3,500 feet as
snow levels fall this afternoon.
* WHERE...Trinity county above 4,000 feet today falling to 3,500
feet late this afternoon and evening. This will impact highway 3
at Scott mountain summit and hwy 36 at south fork mountain and
east of Hwy 3.
* WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Road conditions will be hazardous. Travel may be
impossible at Scott Mountain Summit on highway 3.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power
outages.

The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County
* Until 430 AM HST.
* At 116 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to locally heavy rain
continues across windward Big Island between Hilo and Volcano.
Rain was falling at a rate of around 1 inch per hour in the
heaviest showers. Minor flooding of low lying and poor drainage
areas can be expected.
* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
Hilo, Hawaiian Acres, Glenwood, Pepeekeo, Keaau, Laupahoehoe,
Orchidland Estates, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Pahoa, Honomu, Mountain
View and Kalapana.
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.
Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.
Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

Winter Weather Advisory issued April 5 at 3:42AM AKDT until April 6 at 12:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK
* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Visibility one half mile
or less at times. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total
snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected.
* WHERE...Along the Alaska Highway from Dot Lake to the Canadian
Border.
* WHEN...6 PM today to noon Monday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northwest winds gusting to 35 mph will
develop this afternoon along with rain and snow. The rain and
snow will change to all snow this evening. Blowing and drifting
snow will develop this evening along with low visibility at
times.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause travel difficulties. The latest road conditions can be
obtained by calling 5 1 1.
