well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA
Flood Advisory issued April 5 at 10:41PM PDT until April 6 at 4:30AM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA
The National Weather Service in OXNARD has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Santa Barbara County in southwestern California...
* Until 430 AM PDT Monday.
* At 1020 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated areas of moderate to heavy
rain across all of Santa Barbara County. Rainfall rates between
0.25 and 0.50 inches were common across the advisory area.
However, local rates between 0.50 and 0.70 inches per hour have
been observed across the Santa Ynez Range. Rainfall at these rates
will continue through the early morning hours Monday.
The highest rainfall rates are expected through 2 AM PDT Monday
morning across the Santa Barbara south coast and Santa Ynez
range, when rainfall rates between 0.50 and 0.75 inches per hour
will be common. There is still a slight chance of
thunderstorms during this time, which could locally produce
rates in excess of 0.75 inches per hour.
Roadway flooding will be widespread across Santa Barbara County
overnight. There will also be the threat of rock and mudslides,
especially in canyon and mountain roadways. Localized and shallow
mud and debris flows are possible in and around the Cave burn area
tonight.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, Montecito, Lompoc, Carpinteria,
Solvang, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Goleta, Isla Vista, and
the Cave burn area.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Marine Weather Statement issued April 5 at 10:48PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA
A cold, potent storm system off the coast of Northern California
will continue moving slowly southward through the middle of the
week, bringing a slight chance of thunderstorms to the coastal
waters through Tuesday. Any thunderstorms that form will be
capable of producing chaotic locally gusty winds and rough seas,
dangerous lightning, heavy rainfall with reduced visibility, and
isolated waterspouts. If a waterspout is spotted, head away at a
90 degree angle from the apparent direction.
Consider remaining in safe harbor until the storm passes. Monitor
NOAA Weather Radio for the latest information, forecasts, and
warnings..
