Advisory for the following rivers in Michigan...
Paint River at Crystal Falls affecting Iron County.
.Recent warmer temperatures have led to a continued snowmelt and
increase in river flows.
For the Paint River...including Crystal Falls...elevated river
levels are forecast.
The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a
* Flood Advisory for
the Paint River at Crystal Falls.
* From this morning to Tuesday morning.
* At 7:10 AM CDT Monday the stage was 5.7 feet.
* Action stage is 5.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below action stage by
Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 5.5 feet, 3500 - cfs - River exceeds bankfull stage
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
