At 210 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated gusty showers, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. These showers were located over
Sunny Isles, moving south at 10 knots.
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and possible lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe
harbor immediately until these showers pass.

* At 220 PM EDT, showers capable of producing waterspouts were
located along a line extending from Hallandale to 14 nm east of
Sunny Isles to 24 nm east of Surfside, moving south at 5 to 10 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small
craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
* Locations impacted include...
Sunny Isles, Hollywood, Bay Harbor Islands, Port Everglades,
Hallandale, Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Golden Beach, Surfside, North
Bay Village, Indian Creek and Fort Lauderdale.
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous
seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.

* At 824 AM HST, radar indicated heavy rain along the southwest
shore of Kauai from Poipu to Kekaha moving quickly to the east.
Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 3 inches per hour and will lead
to localized ponding and reduced visibility.
* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
Lihue, Mana, Wailua, Hanapepe, Omao, North Fork Wailua Trails,
Koloa, Kekaha, Lawai, Wailua Homesteads, Kalaheo and Waimea.
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.
Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.
Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on

the seawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop
Road and near the Tidal Basin.

normal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 7:38 PM.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be

line extending from 10 miles southwest of Lion Country Safari Park
to 7 miles southeast of Holey Land Wildlife Refuge. Movement was
south at 10 to 15 mph.
* Funnel clouds possible with these showers.
* These showers will affect US 27 in Southwest Palm Beach County.
Otherwise, the showers will remain over mainly rural areas of
north central Broward and southwestern Palm Beach Counties.
This activity was also developing in an environment favorable for the
