For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.

NWS Houston/Galveston TX
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued April 9 at 4:46PM CDT until April 9 at 5:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX
At 444 PM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms was located near
Washington, or 9 miles southwest of Navasota, moving east at 30 mph.
Trained weather spotter has reported quarter sized hail in 10 miles
northwest of Navasota.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
College Station, eastern Bryan, Brenham, Navasota, Washington,
Somerville, Burton, Millican, Anderson, Lake Somerville Dam, Kyle
Field, Independence, Quarry, Wellborn and Carlos.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.
This thunderstorm is capable of producing all types of severe weather
including extremely large hail, destructive straight line winds and
tornadoes. Move quickly to a safe shelter, such as an interior room,
a bathroom or closet or basement.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

NWS Buffalo NY
Special Weather Statement issued April 9 at 5:57PM EDT by NWS Buffalo NY
An area of snow showers will move across the Western Southern Tier
and southern portions of Erie County including the Boston Hills
through 9 p.m. this evening. This will produce locally heavy
bursts of snow, lowering visibility below a half mile at times. A
few rumbles of thunder are even possible. 1 to 3 inches of snow
accumulation is possible this evening, especially across higher
terrain. This will also result in some slick spots and poor travel
conditions.
