Visibilities had dropped down to or under a quarter of a mile at a
number of locations near the Michigan and Indiana border early
this morning from east of South Bend to Hillsdale. The dense fog
should lift from west to east as winds increase and as warmer air
spreads into the area. If you are traveling early this morning, be
aware of rapid changes in the visibility. Slow down and allow
extra time to reach your destination.

* At 303 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
waterspouts were located along a line extending from 20 nm south of
Isle Derniers to near Ship Shoal 224, moving east at 30 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
Make sure all on board are in a secure location and
wearing life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34
knots and suddenly higher waves. Boats could sustain

knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing
life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots and

were located along a line extending from 19 nm south of Timbalier
Island to 17 nm southeast of Ship Shoal 198, moving east at 30 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing
life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots and
suddenly higher waves. Boats could sustain damage or
capsize. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets.
Return to safe harbor if possible. Large hail could result

At 349 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located 39 nm southwest of Farewell Buoy, moving east at 35
knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing
life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots and
suddenly higher waves. Boats could sustain damage or
capsize. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets.
Return to safe harbor if possible. Large hail could result

.Several bands of showers and thunderstorms will move through
Central Alabama on Sunday and into Sunday night. Rainfall totals
of 2 to 4 inches will be possible along with higher totals. Areas
with the highest probability of receiving these heavy rains will
be along and south of a Tuscaloosa to Birmingham to Talladega
line.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Alabama, east
central Alabama, southeast Alabama, and west central Alabama,
including the following areas, in central Alabama, Autauga,
Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Jefferson, Lowndes,
Montgomery, Perry, Shelby, and Talladega. In east central
Alabama, Chambers, Clay, Lee, Macon, Randolph, Russell, and
Tallapoosa. In southeast Alabama, Barbour, Bullock, and Pike.
In west central Alabama, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Pickens,
Sumter, and Tuscaloosa.
* From Sunday morning through late Sunday night
* Heavy rainfall from several rounds of showers and thunderstorms
will result in 2 to 4 inches of rain along with higher totals.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
