Flash Flood Watch issued April 18 at 3:28PM CDT until April 20 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Mobile AL
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of south central Alabama and southwest Alabama,
including the following areas, in south central Alabama,
Butler, Conecuh, Crenshaw, Monroe, and Wilcox. In southwest
Alabama, Choctaw and Clarke.
* From Sunday morning through late Sunday night
* Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to
produce heavy rainfall across interior southwest and south
central Alabama Sunday and Sunday night. 2 to 4 inches of rain
with locally higher totals will be possible in the Flash Flood
Watch area. Excessive runoff from heavy rain in a short period
of time could result in flash flooding.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
