At 219 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,
capable of producing winds to around 33 knots. This thunderstorm was
located over Daytona Beach Shores, or over South Daytona, moving
northeast at 25 knots. Additional showers and strong storms will
develop over the mainland and push rapidly off of the coast through
the night.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM EDT for east central
Florida...and the adjacent coastal waters.
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 33 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
A special marine warning may eventually be required when these
storms reach the nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading
for shore before the storms arrive.

tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles south of High Springs, or
11 miles east of Trenton, moving east at 55 mph.
* Winds in excess of 45 mph possible with this storm.
* Locations impacted include...
Gainesville, Alachua, High Springs, Archer, University Of Florida,
Gainesville Airport, Newnans Lake, Newberry and La Crosse.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
