The Flood Watch continues for
* The Salcha River.
* Through this afternoon
* A river gage at the Salcha River Bridge indicates an ice jam
formed at 7 pm Thursday evening. Water has been rising rapidly
at the bridge since 7 pm Thursday evening. Flooding is possible
along the Salcha River from it mouth to 20 miles upstream.
* People along the Salcha River from its mouth to 20 miles
upstream should be alert for rapidly rising water. This could
flood the Salcha River Campground, and any buildings in low
lying areas near the Salcha River Bridge.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Wauchula, Ona, Poinciana, Sweetwater, Fort Meade, Crooked Lake Park,
Dundee, Frostproof, Bowling Green, Davenport, Eagle Lake, Zolfo
Springs, Lake Hamilton and Hillcrest Heights.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead

* At 707 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Space Coast Airport to near Lone Cabbage Fish Camp
to near Holopaw to 8 miles northeast of Lake Kissimmee, moving
northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Titusville, Rockledge, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not

extending from Playalinda Beach to near Merritt Island to 9 miles
northwest of Camp Holly Fish Camp to near Holopaw, moving northeast
at 50 mph. Several wind gusts up to around 60 mph have been reported
around Cape Canaveral.
HAZARD...65 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
These severe storms will be near... Cape Canaveral, Playalinda
Beach, Cocoa Beach, and Rockledge through 740 AM EDT.
A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not
immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and move to a place
of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a interior room.

miles northwest of Wauchula, moving east at 45 mph.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Lakeland, Sarasota, Winter Haven, Haines City, Bartow, Lake Wales,
Auburndale, Sebring, Avon Park, Wauchula, Fish Hawk, South Gate
Ridge, Lake Sarasota, The Meadows, Medulla, Ona, Lakewood Ranch,
Fussels Corner, Sarasota Springs and Combee Settlement.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
