Flood Warning issued April 24 at 9:31AM CDT until April 28 at 7:40PM CDT by NWS Springfield MO
...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in

Marmaton River near Nevada affecting Vernon County
.Heavy rainfall from yesterday in addition to an additional one to three inches of rainfall over the next 24 hours will cause river levels to
rise above flood stage.
Do not drive through flowing water. Nearly half of all flood
fatalities are vehicle related. As little as 6 inches of water may
cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Two feet of water will
carry most vehicles away.
Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio for updates or local media for
updates.

NWS Brownsville TX
Special Weather Statement issued April 24 at 9:57AM CDT by NWS Brownsville TX
A generally dry and stable airmass in place over Deep South Texas
today will allow for plenty of sunshine across the region today.
This will drive the afternoon high temperatures up to near record
breaking levels for the Rio Grande Valley.
Elevated surface humidity levels will also combine with the
record breaking temperature values to produce afternoon heat index
readings reaching into the 102 to 106 range.
Drink plenty of water...before you get thirsty. Wear lightweight
and light colored clothing. Reserve strenuous exercise for early
morning or evening hours. Stay in air conditioned locations if
possible.
