Coastal waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee FL out 20 NM...
* Until 215 AM EDT.
* At 139 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located 17 nm west of Northwest Cape Sable, moving
east at 10 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
* Locations impacted include...
Middle Cape Sable and Northwest Cape Sable.
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

At 152 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
8 nm east of Pacific Reef, moving northeast at 30 knots.
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
Intense lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open

Very heavy rain along with continuous cloud to ground lightning are
also possible with this thunderstorm.
