waterspouts was located 12 nm west of Northwest Cape Sable, moving
east at 10 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

At 243 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
9 nm southwest of Northwest Cape Sable, moving east at 25 knots.
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
Intense lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
Waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on the alert in
case warnings are issued for waterspout development.

.A low pressure system tracking south of the Ohio Valley today will
spread an area of heavy rain across west central Illinois towards
I-55.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a
* Flood Watch for portions of central Illinois and west central
Illinois, including the following areas, in central Illinois,
Logan, Marshall, Mason, McLean, Menard, Peoria, Sangamon,
Stark, Tazewell, and Woodford. In west central Illinois, Cass,
Fulton, Knox, Morgan, Schuyler, and Scott.
* Through late tonight
* Rainfall in excess of one inch has already fallen across parts
of the Illinois River Valley. Steady moderate to occasionally
heavy rain will fall for much of today and into this evening.
This will result in 1 to 3 inches of additional rainfall across
the watch area.
* Moderate to heavy rainfall will result in flooding of low lying
or poor drainage areas, including flooding on smaller creeks and
streams. Some rises on larger streams and rivers will also be
possible.

At 259 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
16 nm east of Triumph Reef, moving northeast at 10 knots.
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
Intense lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
Waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on the alert in
case warnings are issued for waterspout development.
