NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA
Marine Weather Statement issued April 25 at 3:13PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA
Areas of dense fog will affect the nearshore coastal waters
west of L.A. County, extending into the outer waters south of the
Channel islands, and northward to Ventura Harbor. The shallow
marine layer producing the fog is likely to persist through
tonight and into Sunday morning. Visibility will be less than 1 NM
at times, resulting in hazardous conditions for mariners.
Mariners should be prepared for abrupt visibility changes. Reduce
speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks and other vessels,
including large ships in the shipping lanes. Use radar or GPS
navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if such
equipment is unavailable.

Flood Watch issued April 25 at 2:16PM AKDT until April 27 at 4:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK
The Flood Watch is now in effect for
* The Salcha River Near The Bridge.
* Through Monday afternoon
* An ice jam remains in place at the Salcha River Bridge, and is
causing high water upstream of the bridge. Additional ice and
water that is flowing down the river may cause the water level
to rise rapidly as its hits the ice jam. People along the Salcha
River near the Bridge should be alert to the possibility of
rapidly rising water. The threat of flooding will end when the
ice jam breaks free.
* Flooding is possible along the Salcha River from the bridge to
several miles upstream of the bridge. This includes the Salcha
Campground and Salcha Marine. People in this area should move
valuables to high ground, as ice jams can cause water to rise
more than 1 ft per hour.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
