NWS Binghamton NY
Flood Advisory issued June 11 at 3:19AM EDT until June 11 at 6:15AM EDT by NWS Binghamton NY
The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Southeastern Broome County in central New York...
Southeastern Chenango County in central New York...
* Until 615 AM EDT.
* At 316 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory
area, including ponding of water on roadways. A narrow stripe of
an inch of rain has fallen so far, with up to an additional half
inch possible.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sidney, Guilford, Bainbridge, Windsor, Afton, Harpursville,
Nineveh, Rockdale, Belden and East Windsor.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

NWS Binghamton NY
Flood Advisory issued June 11 at 3:39AM EDT until June 11 at 5:15AM EDT by NWS Binghamton NY
At 333 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that a stripe of 1 to 2
inches of rain has occurred in the last few hours. This will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kirkwood, Conklin, Rush, Montrose, Great Bend, Brackney,
Birchardville, Salt Springs State Park, Lawton and Wyoanna.
Jones Creek, Silver Creek, and Snake Creek will be especially
vulnerable to quick rises and potential flooding.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
