Special Weather Statement issued June 11 at 6:18AM EDT by NWS Gray ME
A very moist airmass from the Atlantic Ocean has allowed for the
development of fog and drizzle across much of the region. In some
areas...the fog is locally dense...with visibilities less than one
quarter mile at times. Please use extra caution if you will be
traveling this morning. Be prepared for rapidly changing
visibilities and leave plenty of distance between your vehicle and
the one in front of you. The fog will gradually thin through the
morning.

NWS Charleston SC
Flood Advisory issued June 11 at 6:36AM EDT until June 11 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Charleston SC
The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a
* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in...
Charleston County in southeastern South Carolina...
* Until 800 AM EDT.
* At 631 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms extended from Wild
Dunes and Dewees Island north to McClellanville. As much as 2
inches of rain has already fallen in some areas this morning and
an additional 1 to 2 inches could fall through 8 AM. This will
result in minor flooding, mainly in low-lying and poor drainage
areas. At 630 AM, an automated rain gauge system north of Dewees
Island reported 1.88 inches of rain.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Pleasant, McClellanville, Isle Of Palms, Awendaw, Garris
Landing, Mount Pleasant Regional Airport, Cape Island, Price Inlet,
Bull Island, Capers Inlet, Lighthouse Island and Cape Romain.
This heavy rainfall will result in significant ponding of water on
area roads and in low spots. Slow down to reduce the risk of
hydroplaning. If water covers the entire roadway or is flowing, find
another route. The water is probably much deeper than it appears and
only one foot of water can stall a vehicle. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice, turn around, don't drown.

The Flood Warning has been cancelled.
The Flood Warning has been cancelled and is no longer in effect.
Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions or forecasts change.
Safety message: Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas. The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.
