NWS Wilmington NC
Beach Hazards Statement issued June 14 at 5:00AM EDT until June 14 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Wilmington NC
* WHAT...Strong north to south longshore current expected.
* WHERE...In South Carolina, Coastal Georgetown County. In North
Carolina, Coastal Pender and Coastal New Hanover Counties.
* WHEN...Through Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...Longshore currents can sweep swimmers and surfers
into rip currents, piers, jetties, and other hazardous areas.
Often, if the longshore current is strong enough, it will sweep
swimmers off their feet, making it difficult to return to shore.
Caution should be used when in or near the water. Check with the
lifeguards before entering the ocean for possible hazards you may
be swept into.
Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.

NWS Miami FL
Marine Weather Statement issued June 14 at 5:34AM EDT by NWS Miami FL
The areas affected include...
Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM...
At 534 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
9 nm northeast of Triumph Reef, moving west at 5 knots.
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

immediately until this storm passes.
This strong thunderstorm will likely produce winds to around 30
knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine
warning may eventually be required for this storm. Boaters should
consider heading for shore before the storm arrives.

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
forecast office.
Waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on the alert in
case warnings are issued for waterspout development.
