At 935 AM MDT, an area of rain and snow was moving northward through
Jefferson and southern Lewis and Clark counties.
The snow was mainly falling for elevations above 5500 feet,
affecting area around Elk Park and MacDonald Pass. Snow
accumulations will generally be less than a half inch, and mostly on
grassy areas. Visibility will be reduced to less than one mile at
times.
At lower elevations, rainfall amounts up to 0.10 inches will be
possible as this rain shower moves through.
Conditions can deteriorate quickly. Be prepared for slippery roads.
Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.

At 1157 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles southeast of Jonesville, moving east at 20 mph.
Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Kingsport, Rogersville, Surgoinsville, Weber City, Colonial Heights,
Church Hill, Mount Carmel, Bays Mountain Park, Sullivan Gardens and
Fall Branch.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
