At 610 PM EDT, a heavy thunderstorm was located 7 miles southeast of
Summersville, moving northeast at 10 mph.

occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not
drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. The heavy rain will
also cause a quick drop in visibility.
Locations impacted include...
Richwood, Craigsville, Calvin, Nettie and Canvas.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of

NWS Grand Junction CO
Air Quality Alert issued June 14 at 4:10PM MDT by NWS Grand Junction CO
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has
issued the following...
WHAT...Air Quality Health Advisory for Wildfire Smoke.
WHERE...eastern Montezuma and western La Plata Counties. Locations
include, but are not limited to Mancos.
WHEN...400 PM Sunday June 14 to 900 AM Monday June 15
IMPACTS...Areas of moderate to heavy smoke are possible due to a
wildfire in far eastern Montezuma County and far western La Plata
County spanning the County Line, located approximately 20 miles
west of Durango. Smoke will move toward the northeast of the fire,
due to winds out of the southwest on Sunday afternoon. Red Flag
conditions are present on Sunday afternoon and early evening, and
smoke production at the fire could increase significantly and move
in a northeastward direction, potentially impacting locations
along Highway 160 near La Plata Canyon. Overnight Sunday night,
and early on Monday morning winds will remain primarily out of the
southwest, but are expected to become lighter and could produce
periods of moderate to heavy smoke in Mancos.
HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: If smoke is
thick or becomes thick in your neighborhood you may want to remain
indoors. This is especially true for those with heart disease,
respiratory illnesses, the very young, and the elderly. Consider
limiting outdoor activity when moderate to heavy smoke is present.
Consider relocating temporarily if smoke is present indoors and is
making you ill. If visibility is less than 5 miles in smoke in
your neighborhood, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy.
