At 1059 PM EDT, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a
strong thunderstorm over Brunson, or near Lake Warren State Park,
moving east at 5 mph.
HAZARD...strong winds 45 to 55 mph.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light, unsecured objects.
Some locations in the path of this storm include...
Hampton, Lake Warren State Park, Varnville, Fairfax, Brunson,
Gifford, Sycamore and Luray.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas. Do not drive your
vehicle through flooded roadways.

strong thunderstorm over Hagan, or over Claxton, moving east at 10
mph.
HAZARD...strong winds 45 to 55 mph and up to penny sized hail.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light, unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to plants,
trees and crops is possible. Damage to windshields is
unlikely.
Some locations in the path of this storm include...
Claxton, Hagan, Daisy and Bellville.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

At 1003 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 miles southwest of Lake Colorado City State Park to
14 miles east of Forsan to near Garden City, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
These severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Glasscock, southwestern Mitchell and southeastern Howard
Counties.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading

late this evening. The storms will primarily contain locally heavy
rainfall, but a few storms could also contain small hail. Some
areas have received 3 to 7 inches of rain over the previous
several hours. Some minor lowland flooding could redevelop in
those areas that have received the heaviest rainfall.
People should be aware and be ready to take appropriate action
