The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a
* Flood Warning for...
South central Las Animas County in southeastern Colorado...
* Until 200 AM MDT.
* At 1106 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain has produced up to around 2 inches of rainfall
over the area. The heavy rain is causing flooding, especially in
the town of Trinidad. Additional rainfall amounts of one half to
one inch are possible.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Trinidad, Cokedale, Starkville, Model, Hoehne and Raton Pass.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

At 1249 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles southeast
of Sunray, or 13 miles east of Dumas, moving northwest at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect some tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings. People and animals outdoors will
be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows,
and vehicles.
Locations impacted include...
Fritch, Sunray, Sanford and Lake Meredith.
