* WHAT...Please check with state and local authorities regarding
guidelines for allowed activities. The warm air temperatures in
the 80s may cause people to underestimate the dangers of the
cold water temperatures which are currently only in the mid to
upper 50s.
* WHERE...In New Hampshire, Coastal Rockingham County. In Maine,
Coastal York, Coastal Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and
Coastal Waldo Counties.
* WHEN...From 7 AM EDT Friday through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...The cold water temperatures can quickly cause
hypothermia to anyone immersed in the water. When the water
temperature is below 60 degrees, the average submerged person
could lose dexterity within minutes and be unable to
accomplish simple tasks. Anyone on boats or paddlecraft should
use extreme caution to avoid this threat.
A Beach Hazards Statement is issued on days when a significant
number of boats and paddlecraft are expected to be out on the
water and when warm air temperatures may cause people to
underestimate the danger of the cold water. Paddle smart from the
start. Always wear your life jacket. Be aware of wind conditions,
tides, and localized currents.

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a
* Small Stream Flood Advisory for Rapid Rises for...
Southwestern Catawba County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
Southeastern Burke County in western North Carolina...
* Until 545 AM EDT.

thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have fallen since
midnight.

Mountain View.
Additional rainfall of one inch is expected over the area. This is

creeks and small streams.
Only when it is safe to do so, please report floodwaters or
landslides flowing over roads or threatening property to the National

Flood Watch issued June 19 at 2:58AM EDT until June 19 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL
The Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of east central Florida, including the following areas,
Indian River, Martin and St. Lucie.
* Through this evening
* High coverage of showers and storms is expected across Martin,
Saint Lucie, and Indian River counties again today. Rainfall
amounts of 1 to 3 inches fell on Thursday, and additional
accumulations of 1 to 3 inches will be possible today with locally
higher totals.
* Due to well above normal rainfall totals over the past one to two
weeks and saturated ground conditions, additional heavy rainfall
will bring the threat for localized flooding. Do not drive your
vehicle across a flooded roadway.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert
for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding
should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
