Flood Advisory issued June 19 at 7:02PM EDT until June 19 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Miami FL
The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Central Miami-Dade County in southeastern Florida...
* Until 1000 PM EDT.
* At 700 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms moving slowly into the region from the north that
can produce rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches per hour. These
rainfall amounts will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Miami, Hialeah, Miami Beach, Coral Gables and Key Biscayne.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of canals
and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely. You can also send flood reports to NWS Miami on
Facebook and Twitter.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

NWS Charleston WV
Special Weather Statement issued June 19 at 7:22PM EDT by NWS Charleston WV
At 720 PM EDT, a heavy thunderstorm was located near Holly River
State, or near Webster Springs, moving southeast at 15 mph.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this and other heavy
thunderstorms in the area. One or two inches are possible within 30
minutes, which may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your
vehicle through flooded roadways. Watch for a quick drop in
visibility, ponding and hydroplaning.
Wind gusts of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Webster Springs, Addison (Webster Springs), Mill Creek, Holly River
State, Huttonsville, Diana, Monterville, Slaty Fork, Helvetia,
Pickens, Waneta, Hacker Valley and Bergoo.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of
swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.

NWS Raleigh NC
Special Weather Statement issued June 19 at 7:25PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC
At 724 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14
miles west of Mount Olive, moving northeast at 10 mph.
Pea size hail and wind gusts up to 40 mph will be possible with this
storm.
Heavy rain and minor flooding is also likely with this storm,
especially in Newton Grove where earlier storms produced over two
inches of rainfall.
Locations impacted include...
Newton Grove, Grantham and Hobbton.
Seek shelter in a nearby building or vehicle. Wind gusts as high as
40 mph are capable of knocking down tree limbs and blowing around
light outdoor objects.
Locally heavy rain will quickly reduce visibility and result in
ponding of water on roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and
minor flooding of creeks, streams, and areas of poor drainage.
Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution to avoid
hydroplaning.

Flash Flood Warning issued June 19 at 7:26PM EDT until June 19 at 10:30PM EDT by NWS Miami FL
The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northern Miami-Dade County in southeastern Florida...
* Until 1030 PM EDT.
* At 724 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated nearly stationary
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to
two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly. These thunderstorms could also build
eastward into the coastal areas of Miami-Dade County during the
next couple of hours with these heavy rainfall amounts.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Miami, Hialeah, Miami Beach, Coral Gables and South Miami.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

NWS Indianapolis IN
Air Quality Alert issued June 19 at 7:34PM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN
The following is a correction to the 458 PM issuance.
... AN OZONE ACTION DAY HAS BEEN DECLARED...
The officials at the Indiana Department of Environmental
Management have called for an Ozone Action Day on Saturday...June
20 for the following Indiana counties...
Greene...Knox...Daviess...Jackson
This Ozone Action day will be in effect from 1200 AM to 1159 PM.
An Ozone Action Day means that a combination of the high
temperatures, light winds, and other factors, are expected to
produce conditions where high levels of ozone emissions may exceed
federally mandated standards.
Here are some recommended actions that the public can take to reduce
ozone forming emissions:
* Walk, bike, carpool or use public transportation.
* Avoid using the drive-through and combine errands into one trip.
* Avoid refueling your vehicle or using gasoline-powered lawn
equipment until after 7pm.
* Turn off your engine when idling for more than 30 seconds.
* Conserve energy by turning off lights or setting the air
conditioner to 75 degrees or above.
