Special Weather Statement issued June 24 at 3:23AM EDT by NWS Miami FL
The combination of hot temperatures and high dewpoints will

drink plenty of water, wear light weight and light colored
clothing, and take frequent breaks from the heat. Young children
and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any
circumstances. This is especially true during warm or hot weather
when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of

NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
Flood Advisory issued June 24 at 2:24AM CDT until June 24 at 6:15AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a
* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Lavaca County in south central Texas...
* Until 615 AM CDT.
* At 224 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 1
and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Yoakum, Hallettsville, Shiner, Ezzell, Sublime, Vienna, Mont,
Koerth, Worthing, Vsetin, Wied, Sweet Home, Hope and Mount Olive.
Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is possible over the area. This
additional rain will result in an increased chance of flooding.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
