This large area includes the Delta, Robertson, Goodpaster, and Charley River basins, as well as the upper Salcha River basin. Rain showers will continue in these areas through tonight before beginning to taper off on Wednesday. An additional 0.5 to 1.5 inches of rain is possible through Wednesday. Expect sharp rises in rivers, creeks, and streams in these areas, with the possibility for flooding. Flood Watches remain in effect. Most of the rain will occur east of Fairbanks, but rivers near Fairbanks including the Chena and Tanana, are expected to see rises. Currently, none of them are expected to reach flood stage.
