At 1226 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. The heaviest rainfall was from
around the US Highway 60 and 67 junction to near Ellsinore. Up to
three inches of rain have already estimated by radar. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
and low lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Poplar Bluff, Doniphan, Naylor, Neelyville, Fisk, Hendrickson, Brush
Arbor, Handy, Harviell, Budapest, Gatewood, Milltown, Oxly,
Fairdealing, Rombauer and Briar.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Red
Flag Warning for dry thunderstorms and gusty outflow winds, which
is in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 9 PM MDT this evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 478 Salt Lake Desert, in
particular the northwest corner from around Wendover to
Snowville.
* WINDS...Gusty and erratic winds possible with any thunderstorms.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 7 percent.
* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any
fire starts will spread rapidly.
* THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to scattered dry thunderstorms are
expected over northwest Utah from mid afternoon through
early evening.
* OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusty and erratic winds of 45 mph will be
possible with any thunderstorms today.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or are imminent. A combination of
lightning...dry fuel conditions...and gusty microburst winds will
create favorable conditions for new fire starts and extreme fire
behavior.

Western Wayne County in southeastern Missouri...
* Until 300 PM CDT.
* At 1254 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Piedmont, Sam A. Baker State Park, Greenville, Williamsville, Lodi
and Mill Spring.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded

* At 158 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were
tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Cross
Creek to 6 miles southwest of Ocala Airport. Movement was east at
15 mph.
* Wind gusts up to 50 mph, excessive cloud-to-ground lightning, and
minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible with these storms.
* Locations impacted include...
Ocala, Palatka, Crescent City, Interlachen, Pomona Park, East
Palatka, Salt Springs, Citra, Lynne and Melrose.
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. If
you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck! Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A dry cold front will increase winds across eastern Washington
this afternoon and evening. The combination of windy conditions,
low humidity levels and dry vegetation may lead to extreme fire
behavior for any new or existing fires.
* Affected Area: Fire Weather Zone 673 East Washington Northern
Columbia Basin (Zone 673), Fire Weather Zone 674 East
Washington Palouse and Spokane Area (Zone 674), Fire Weather
Zone 676 East Washington South Central Cascade Valleys (Zone
676), Fire Weather Zone 677 East Washington Central Cascade
Valleys (Zone 677) and Fire Weather Zone 684 East Washington
Okanogan/Methow Valleys (Zone 684).
* Winds: West to Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
For the Wenatchee Valley, Waterville Plateau and Kittitas
Valley west to northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph.
* Relative Humidities: 10 to 20 percent.
* Impacts: The combination of low humidity levels and windy
conditions could lead to rapid fire development and spread.
