Widespread dense fog developed earlier this morning, and is now
slowly starting to break up. However, patches of dense fog can
still be found across the region, and care should be taken on the
roads through mid morning. Be on the lookout for patches of fog
and sudden changes in visibility.

For the Choctawhatchee River...including Newton (SR 134), Geneva (SR
52), Caryville (US 90), Bruce (SR 20)...Minor flooding is forecast.
The Flood Warning continues for
the Choctawhatchee River near Bruce (SR 20).
* Until late Monday night.
* At 7:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:45 AM CDT Saturday was 16.8 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Monday
afternoon and continue falling to 11.2 feet Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet, Portions of Big Cedar, Cowford, and
Choctawhatchee River Roads in Walton County are impassible above
this level. Structures in the area not elevated begin flooding.
Portions of Choctaw Road in Washington County begin to flood along
with Strickland Road in the far southwestern portion of the county.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
tonight and continue falling to 19.1 feet Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Water will start to affect houses and
mobile homes in the flood plain downstream from the gage. A few
fish camps downstream of highway 20 will be affected by flood
water.

expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal
waterways.
* WHERE...The lower Cape Fear River including downtown
Wilmington.
* WHEN...From 6 PM to 8 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...The lowest parts of USS North Carolina Road and low
spots of Battleship Road begin to flood. Water begins to spread
out of the storm drains onto Water Street just south of Market
Street in downtown Wilmington.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

* At 936 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Williamsburg,
or near Elk Rapids, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 930 AM EDT, nickel sized hail was
reported 4 miles NW of Traverse City.
IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.
* Locations impacted include...
Traverse City, Kalkaska, Elk Rapids, Mancelona, Antrim, Clam River,
Barker Creek, Kewadin, Rapid City, Alden, Mapleton, Darragh,
Traverse City State Park, Williamsburg, Bates, Blue Lake Township
